According to the new Royal Oman Police (ROP) latest amendments, expats living in Oman will no longer need to have their passports stamped with the visa. Only a resident card (ID card) will be sufficient for all visa purposes.
Oman Visa Stamping of an expat visa on his or her passport is no longer required in cases of renewal. Residents can now use ID cards to apply for visas.

Oman Tourist visa
Those who wish to visit Oman can apply for a tourist visa. Under this visa, there are two different Oman visas for Indians. First, the tourist visit visa 10Days (26A) which allows a stay up to ten days and is valid for one month; and the second is the tourist visit visa 30Days (26B) which allows a stay of up to 30 days.
